Small Update - 11:05am CST
I realize that I'm no longer supposed to be maintaining the site... but here I am. I have had a few requests to re upload
all the videos I had in the Clips section of the site. Since the site is on a new server now I no longer need to worry
about bandwidth restrictions. As such... I have re uploaded all the videos. So if you were interested in them... head over
to the clips section and go nuts :)

No Longer Maintained - 10:33am CST
It has been quite a while since I updated the site, so here we are. I am no longer maintaining
the site, but I will be leaving it online. There is not much going on with The Third Age anymore,
and there is really not anything on the news front to report on an older game. My email is still
up and running, so feel free to drop me a line if you have any questions.
I still run Final Fantasy Legacy so head over there to the
forums if you're bored. Until then, take it easy.

Just chillin - 12:05am CST
Not a whole lot is going on in the Third Age front. Hence the lack of updates on this site. If
you have any thoughts on what I should cover next then just drop me a line. I'll either stick
with the Lord of the Rings series, or maybe I'll broaden my scope on EA games. Either way, drop
me a line! Maybe I'll start a "Mail Bag" section if I get enough emails.

TTA Sequel Announced - 6:30pm CST
EA visited the University of Florida last week to do a little recruiting and in the process
also showed off some upcoming games. While giving a the presentation about upcoming titles, a
sequel to The Third Age was mentioned. Before this there had been no word about whether or not
we'd see a sequel. I for one am looking forward to the sequel. As for features and release
dates, hopefully we'll hear more about that at the upcoming E3.
For more information about the visit to the U of F, check out IGN.

Contests Winners - 10:05pm CST
I have posted up all the submissions for the fan art contest that was held last month. I
apologize for the lateness in getting these up. I'd like to congratulate Patrick Cross and
Eric Levonas who both won copies of The Third Age. All the entries received were awesome, and I
only wish I could draw half as good as those. Thanks for sticking around guys.

The two contests have now finished up. Once the winners have been picked and contacted, I'll post

imprssive.

Contests - 12:35am CST
I figure it's about time that we have a contest. A contest where you can win a copy of The
Third Age for a system of your choice (as long as both winners don't want the same version, and
you don't want the GBA version).
The two contests are as follows:
Wallpaper Contest
Create a background with a resolution of at least 800x600. The image can portray anything that's
Lord of the Rings, and isn't limited to The Third Age.
Artwork Contest
Draw anything that's related to the Lord of the Rings. Characters, scene's, whatever. You can
manually color the image, use a computer to color it, or just leave it as a sketch.
One winner from each contest will be chosen and will be mailed out a copy of The Third Age for
the console of their choice. All entries can be e-mailed to myself at doc.nach@thirdagelegacy.com
and must be received before December 6th. That gives two weeks to come up with some cool stuff.
You also must live in North America to enter.
Good luck.

Check out the Strategy Guide - 2:55am CST
The Third Age Legacy is listed in the official TTA strategy guide published by Prima. On the
last page of the guide, this site along with five other TTA sites are featured. Personally I'm
pretty pumped up about it!! Definitely check out the strategy guide along with the other sites, all
of which are listed in the "links" section.

TTA Featured in Online Comics - 3:00am CST
Control-Alt-Delete-Online and Penny Arcade
have both posted comics recently featuring The Third Age. Both strips are incredibly hilarious and
well worth a look. Just a warning that the Penny Arcade comic uses some colourful (Canadian Spelling) language.
Another note is that Penny Arcade has a short article on their first page talking about the
The Third Age and what they think of it.

IGN Review TTA- 3:20am CST
IGN has posted a full review
on The Third Age. With the help of their thick glasses and pockets protectors, IGN has given The Third Age a
score of 8.5 out of 10. A pretty respectable score considering this is EA's first shot at an RPG. The link goes to the XBox site, but all the consoles
have the exact same review.

Stratagy Guide Excerpts - 3:00am CST
I have obtained a few character pages from the official TTA strategy guide. From the look of

currently have are Berethor, Elegost,
and Idreal.

There and Back Again: A Designer's Tale - 12:20am CST
EA has a series of clips entitled "There and Back Again: A Designer's Tale." This
6 part series shows the developers talking about The Third Age and some of the
challenges they've faced along the way. Yesterday the newest clip was released,
Chapter 5: Transforming the Silver Screen into the Interactive Scene. In this chapter we hear from writer/designer Micheal Becker and he talks about the challenges of
transforming parts of the movies into the game. It's a great clip I'd recommend checking out. Also on the
same page you can check out the past chapters of the series.
